We offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and work with you to put forward a plan that suits your business.

We take your budget into account and can offer a proposal. often with a few options to choose from.

Focus on the Balance can build a partnership with you. We help to save you time,  improve business operations, deliver advice and support and guidance. 

Sometimes, you might need help to hire someone into your business and the thought of spending high recruitment fees could be daunting. 

We can offer a variety of fee options, including a fixed fee which isn't based on a % of salary. 

We can also help create, deliver and source training options for your business. We can also provide guidance around performance management and development support for employees. 

Any training or development solution can once agin be tailored and so it could be the production of a one off training workshop through to help and support over a period.

Again, rates can be discussed and agreed for a one off or perhaps for an ongoing payment arrangement.  

The Founder also volunteers at a school via an organised programme supporting Year 10 & 11 students to help them understand more about work, career, roles, cv's and interviews. Information on this can also be provided.

We recognise the need to ensure your business runs as smoothly and as effectively as possible. We can help review and suggest a HR system tailored to your business. 

We can help support implementation and any training needed.

We can also review policies and handbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose or, we can help build your own set of policies and an employee handbook right for your business. 

After discussing the way you work with you, we can create or update these and work closely with you throughout the process. This can often be quite thought provoking for a Business owner!

We can often agree the fees for these in advance so that you are clear on the cost from the outset. 

For a small agreed fee (and location dependant) we can also come on site to help the roll out of the handbook, run through with staff and answer any questions. This service can be offered virtually too.  

Focus on the Balance can help advise and support through the tricky situations, the difficult conversations, the trying times and partner you to get things back on track.

We can help with redundancy processes, conduct investigations and manage appeals.

These services tend to be on an adhoc basis and can be time consuming so, we often anticipate a guideline on the time and agree an hourly or daily rate here. 

These situations are not always easy and so it is good to chat through the need in advance.
